# Exam Visit - Savonia AMK

## General Policies and Surveillance
The exam room is under real-time and recording camera surveillance. By booking an exam slot in the EXAM room at Savonia University of Applied Sciences, you accept Savonia’s electronic examination policies as well as the monitoring procedures. If necessary, recorded footage may be handed over to your home university.

Complete silence is required in the exam room, and conversation is not permitted. Recordings may be used to investigate suspected cheating and may be handed over to your home university if necessary.

## Exam Room Rules
*   **Personal Belongings:** Papers, phones, smartwatches, headphones, calculators, bags, or outdoor clothing are not allowed in the exam room. These items must be left in the lockable lockers located outside the exam room.
*   **Arrival and Timing:** You may only enter the exam room just before your own exam is due to start. Exams begin 5 minutes past the hour. You can start your own exam later, as long as you stay within your reserved time slot. The exam always ends when your booking ends.
*   **Reservations:** You may only take the exam during your own reserved time and on the reserved computer. You are not allowed in the exam room without a reservation.
*   **Leaving the Room:** You may not leave the room during the exam or return after leaving.
*   **Support:** No exam-time support is available. Instructions for starting up and shutting down the exam computer are available at the computer in the exam room.
*   **Scrap Paper:** Scrap paper and pens are provided. Scrap paper must be left in the post box in the exam room at the end of the exam.

## Booking and Access
*   **Opening Hours:** Savonia’s exam visit facilities are normally open from 8:00 to 16:00. Movement on campus is only permitted during building opening hours.
*   **Access:** Exam visitors do not need a Savonia access card. You can enter the space during the building’s opening hours via the guided routes.
*   **Booking:** You can make reservations for Savonia’s exam rooms up to 30 days in advance. Exam slot bookings are always made through your own university’s EXAM system.
*   **Login:** You do not need to log in separately to the exam computer itself. Log in to the EXAM system with your own university credentials by first selecting your home university from the HAKA list.

## Computer Specifications
The following are available on exam visitor computers:
*   PDF reader
*   Image viewing software
*   Basic calculator
*   Notepad
*   Paint

The computers do not have headphones or drawing tablets, and you are not permitted to use your own peripherals.

## Technical Issues and Adjustments
*   **Technical Problems:** Contact Savonia ServiceDesk.
*   **Other Issues:** Interrupt the exam according to the instructions in the EXAM system and inform your own university’s examiner.
*   **Adjustments:** Any reasonable adjustments will be agreed on a case-by-case basis between the student’s home university and Savonia University of Applied Sciences.

## Campus Locations
*   **Iisalmi:** Guidance to the Iisalmi EXAM room is available from the Iisalmi campus main entrance. Note: Piano lessons are occasionally held in the classroom next to the room, which may cause disturbing noise.
*   **Varkaus:** Guidance to the Varkaus EXAM room is available from the Varkaus campus main entrance.
*   **Kuopio:** The Kuopio EXAM room is located in the Microkatu campus (Microkatu 1, 70210 Kuopio). It is on the second floor of the Kampussydän, next to the library.
    *   **Parking:** Parking spaces are available in front of the Microkatu A-lobby and in the campus parking hall (use mobile parking applications like EasyPark or Parkman).
