# Application Instructions: Certificate Grades

## Joint Application Overview
Joint application allows you to apply to up to six (6) study programmes with one (1) application form. These options may include degree programmes from one or several different higher education institutions. 

*   **Important:** If you submit several application forms, only the newest one will be taken into consideration and all others will be deleted. Higher education institutions will not inform applicants about deleted applications.
*   **Preferences:** In the spring joint application for study programmes offered in English, you do not have to place study programmes in order of preference, and you can be offered admission to several programmes. However, you can accept only one study place.

## Steps to Follow
1.  **Check eligibility:** Ensure you meet the criteria and have all necessary documents (and translations if needed) available before the application period starts.
2.  **Select programmes:** Identify the study programmes you wish to apply to via the [Studyinfo website](https://studyinfo.fi).
3.  **Fill in the form:** Complete the application form during the application period. Ensure you allow enough time to finish.
4.  **Submit:** Answer all mandatory questions (marked with an asterisk *) and click the "Submit application" button. Late applications will not be considered.
5.  **Confirmation:** After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Monitor your email regularly for further instructions or requests for additional information.

## Filling in the Application Form
*   **Access:** The form is available on the [Studyinfo front page](https://studyinfo.fi) during the application period. No registration or login is required to start.
*   **Personal Details:** Mandatory information is marked with an asterisk. If you lack a Finnish identity code, provide your date of birth and gender. Use your personal email address, as it serves as an identification detail.
*   **Permissions:** You must provide consent for electronic communication and select your contact language to submit the form.
*   **Educational Background:** Fill in the details of education completed or currently in progress. You may be required to upload supporting attachments.
*   **Additional Questions:** You may be prompted to answer specific questions based on the study programmes selected.

## Modifying and Managing Your Application
*   **Submission:** Application forms cannot be saved as drafts. You must answer all mandatory questions to submit.
*   **Preview:** Use the "Preview" button to verify your information before final submission.
*   **Modifications:** After submitting, you will receive a personal link via email to access your application. You can modify your application (e.g., change study options) during the application period. 
*   **Login:** If you have Finnish online banking codes, a Finnish mobile certificate, or a Finnish electronic ID-card, you can use them to log in to the "My Studyinfo" service to manage your application.

## Uploading Attachments
*   **Deadlines:** Attachments often have separate deadlines and can be uploaded after the application form is submitted, usually within 7 days of the application period's expiration.
*   **Formatting:** 
    *   Scan or photograph documents clearly.
    *   Combine pages of the same document into a single file.
    *   Recommended formats: PDF, JPG, PNG, and DOCX.
    *   Naming convention: `Lastname_Firstname_description`.
*   **Redundancy:** Some attachments may be requested in multiple sections; you must upload the file in each required section.
