## Direct Application for Studies Starting in Autumn 2027
*   **Selection method:** Entrance examination
*   **Status:** This page is currently under maintenance. The information on this page will be updated by 30 September 2026.

## Application Period
*   **Application period:** 7 January 2026 to 31 March 2026.
*   **Submission:** Application form must be submitted in Studyinfo by 31 March 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.
*   **Application Fee:** Applicants from outside the EU, EEA, or Switzerland are required to pay an application fee.

## Required Attachments
Applicants must upload the following by 7 April 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time:
*   Copies of final certificates giving eligibility to apply to Higher Education studies (unfinished degrees are not accepted).
*   A copy of an official ID / passport, valid at least until 7 January 2026.

## Entrance Examination Details
*   **Date:** 15 April 2026.
*   **Location:** Microkatu campus, Kuopio or Varkaus (Industrial Management).
*   **Note:** The exam is organized only in Finland. It is not possible to participate online or in other locations.
*   **Invitations:** Sent by email at least a week before the exam.
*   **Individual Arrangements:** Available for applicants with illness, disability, dyslexia, or other specific reasons. Requests must be submitted with a medical certificate by 7 April 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.

## Programme-Specific Exam Information

### Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business
*   **Location:** Microkatu campus, Kuopio.
*   **Schedule:** 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Registration at 12:30).
*   **Content:** Reading comprehension, writing task, and mathematical-logical questions.
*   **Requirements:** Valid ID/passport, pencil, and eraser. Calculators are not permitted.

### Bachelor of Engineering, Industrial Management
*   **Location:** Varkaus campus.
*   **Schedule:** 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Registration at 12:30).
*   **Content:** English language skills, mathematical and scientific reasoning, and field suitability.
*   **Requirements:** Valid ID/passport, pencil, eraser, and ruler. Calculators are provided by Savonia UAS; personal calculators are not permitted.

### Bachelor of Engineering, Information Technology (Internet of Things)
*   **Location:** Microkatu campus, Kuopio.
*   **Schedule:** 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Registration at 12:30).
*   **Content:** English language skills, mathematical and scientific reasoning, and field suitability.
*   **Requirements:** Valid ID/passport, pencil, eraser, and ruler. Calculators are provided by Savonia UAS; personal calculators are not permitted.

### Bachelor of Health Care, Registered Nurse
*   **Location:** Microkatu campus, Kuopio.
*   **Format:** Written exam (9:00 a.m.) followed by group interviews (12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Both parts are mandatory.
*   **Content:** Written material exam (study skills/evidence-based knowledge) and group interview (motivation, communication, English proficiency).
*   **Requirements:** Valid ID/passport, pencil, and eraser. Calculators are not permitted.

### Bachelor of Hospitality Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management for Immigrants
*   **Location:** Microkatu campus, Kuopio.
*   **Format:** Written exam (9:00 a.m.) followed by group interviews (12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Both parts are mandatory.
*   **Content:** Reading comprehension, writing task (career plans/goals), and mathematical-logical questions. Group interview assesses motivation, field suitability, and English proficiency.
*   **Requirements:** Valid ID/passport, pencil, and eraser. Calculators are not permitted.

## Admission and Registration
*   **Acceptance:** Admitted students receive an email notification.
*   **Confirmation:** Study place must be confirmed within 7 days of acceptance.
*   **Tuition Fees:** Must be paid within 14 days of acceptance for those obligated to pay.
*   **Start Dates:** 
    *   Registered Nurse: 31 August 2026
    *   All other programmes: 1 September 2026
*   **Registration:** Students must register as present or absent by 31 August 2026.
