# Direct Application, selection method: video interview

## Overview
Savonia UAS offers different ways to apply to degree programmes conducted in English. This page provides information about the Direct Application for studies starting in autumn 2026, where the selection method is a video interview.

## Application Schedule
*   **Application period:** 1 to 8 October 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.
*   **Application status:** The application period closed on 8 October 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.
*   **Deadline for required attachments:** 15 October 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.

## Application Guidelines
*   **Application Fee:** Starting from 1 Jan 2025, applicants from outside the EU, EEA, or Switzerland are required to pay an application fee. Please refer to [Studyinfo](https://studyinfo.fi) for more information.
*   **Application Limit:** It is possible to apply to only one degree programme with one application. If an applicant submits several applications, only the first application remains valid.

## Required Attachments
The following documents must be uploaded to the application form:
*   Copies of final certificates providing eligibility to apply to Higher Education studies (Note: You cannot apply with an unfinished degree).
*   A proof of English language skills.
*   A copy of an official ID / passport, which is valid at least until 1 October 2025.

## Student Selection and Enrollment
*   **Selection Method:** Students are selected on the basis of a video interview.
*   **Results:** Student selection results will be published by the end of 2025.
*   **Confirmation:** The study place must be confirmed within 7 days of being accepted.
*   **Tuition Fees:** Those obligated to pay tuition fees will receive payment instructions. The fee must be fully paid within 14 days of being accepted.
*   **Start Date:** Studies will begin at the end of August 2026.
*   **Registration:** Students must register as present or absent for the academic year by 31 August 2026, either in person on campus or by authenticating online through the Candour service.
