# Direct Application, selection method: certificate grades - Savonia AMK

> Information regarding the Direct Application process for Savonia UAS degree programmes starting in autumn 2026 based on certificate grades.

## Application Period
*   **Application period starts:** 1 October 2025
*   **Application period ends:** 31 July 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time (or once the group is full).

## Application Guidelines
*   **Application Limit:** It is possible to apply to only one degree programme with one application. If multiple applications are submitted, only the first application remains valid.
*   **Application Fee:** Applicants from outside the EU, EEA, or Switzerland are required to pay an application fee.
*   **Rolling Admission:** The admission process is based on rolling admission with a limited number of study places. Applications are processed in the order of arrival.

## Required Attachments
Required attachments must be uploaded to the application form at the time of submission:
*   **Final Certificates:** Copies of final certificates providing eligibility for Higher Education studies. If graduating in spring/summer 2026, upload a transcript of study records. The degree must be completed by 31 July 2026, and the final certificate must be submitted by 14 August 2026.
*   **Proof of English Language Skills:** If the applicant does not have proof of English language skills, they may still apply and will be invited to an online interview if their grades meet the requirements.
*   **Official ID/Passport:** A copy of an official ID or passport valid at least until 1 October 2025.

## Selection and Enrollment
*   **Selection Method:** Students are selected based on certificate grades. Only certain certificates from specific countries are accepted. Each applicant is evaluated individually.
*   **Confirming Study Place:** The study place must be confirmed within 7 days of acceptance.
*   **Tuition Fees:** Students obligated to pay tuition fees will receive payment instructions upon acceptance. The fee must be paid in full within 14 days of acceptance.
*   **Start of Studies:** Studies begin at the end of August 2026.
*   **Registration:** Students must register as present or absent for the academic year by 31 August 2026, either in person on campus or via the Candour service.
