## Overview
Cross-institutional studies mean that you can complete studies at another Finnish higher education institution. Cross-institutional study is possible between higher education institutions that have agreed on educational cooperation. If you have a valid right to study and are enrolled as an attending student at your home institution, you can register for Savonia’s cross-institutional study offerings. Savonia offers cross-institutional students a wide range of studies in different fields – some courses are open to all students, while others are intended for students in a specific field of study. Registration takes place through your own higher education institution’s Peppi or Sisu system.

## Study Rights and Registration
Based on your registration, you will be granted a right to study at Savonia. Your study right is valid until the end of the academic year in which the course implementation ends. Your study right at your home institution must remain valid throughout the completion of the cross-institutional course until the transfer of the assessment. The study right cannot be extended, and studies cannot be completed after it has ended.

You can cancel your registration for the course implementation in your home institution’s Peppi or Sisu system.

## Learning Environments and Assessment
The course is completed either in Moodle or Edunia. Information about the learning environment can be found in the course implementation description. You log in to the learning environment using your home institution’s credentials via HAKA login.

The assessment of the course implementation is automatically transferred to your home institution’s study register once the teacher has recorded it in Savonia’s Peppi. In accordance with the degree regulations, your teacher has one month to assess and record the completion.

## Troubleshooting and Support
For more information about the course and the assessment criteria, contact your course teacher (firstname.lastname@savonia.fi). For technical questions and problems related to cross-institutional studies, you can submit a support request through the Sanni service.

### Moodle Access
When you log in to Savonia Moodle for the first time, there may be a delay before your courses appear on the Moodle dashboard. The system will automatically add you to your course.

1. Log out of Moodle and wait for about an hour. Usually, the courses become visible within approximately one hour after your first login.
2. If the courses still do not appear, please contact the Sanni support ticket service by selecting "Report a disruption."

### Registration Status
We typically process registrations once a week. Once your registration has been accepted, you will receive a message by email. After that, you can begin your studies according to the instructions you have received.

*   **If you have not registered:** Complete the registration and wait until you are accepted to the course implementation. You will receive a confirmation message once the teacher has approved your registration.
*   **If you have already registered:** Check your spam or junk mail folder, as the confirmation message may sometimes end up there.

## Technical Instructions
*   **Credentials:** You can study using your home institution’s credentials. Logging in to the learning environment takes place through HAKA login.
*   **Enrolment Keys:** You do not need an enrolment key for the Moodle course, as the system will automatically add you to the course. If other credentials are used for the course implementation, follow the instructions given by your teacher.
*   **Status Checks:** You can check the status of your registration in your home institution’s Peppi or Sisu system.
*   **Communication:** For questions related to the course content, the course teachers will help you, and you can contact them by email. For technical problems related to Moodle, you can submit a Sanni support ticket. WhatsApp is not a secure communication channel, and for that reason we do not respond to WhatsApp messages.
