Objectives | After the studies the student is able to • understand the main points of prenatal program families and families with children up to seven years, the health and oral health care systems in Finland and Lithuania. • learn a motivational interviewing approach • describe the importance of early interaction • evaluate and apply ethical basis of health promotion • describe sexual health promotion as part of families’ wellbeing • learn basic health checks (including oral health checks) of children • learn to advise parents to take care of their children’s health and oral health • describe the ergonomic principles and use of massage for pregnant women and newborns |
Content | Families’ health and oral health care systems in Finland and Lithuania. National strategies and programs for families with little children and expected families. Health and oral health promotion. Motivational interviewing approach and ethical basis (methods of inter-professional health promotion).Basic health checks (including oral health check) of children, vaccinations belong to these checks. Counselling methods for families with children. |
