Objectives | The student understands the economic rationale of business and becomes familiar with the essential economic tools for economic analysis. The student understands the economic backgrounds of markets' interaction, and the economic logic of output and price. Further, the student is familiar with major macroeconomic variables and understands the role of macroeconomic policies to stabilise these variables. |
Content | Economic problem, demand and supply, cost structure and supply decision, market structures, macroeconomic variables (inflation, unemployment, interest rate, GDP, economic cycles), macroeconomic policies (fiscal and monetary), macroeconomic analysis (AD/AS). |
