Objectives | Student - understands the concept of One Health (as the governance of intersectoral, inter-programmatic and inter-disciplinary efforts, necessary to promote and protect the health status of people, animals and the environment, goes beyond zoonotic diseases, including all pathologies with an impact on public health and food security). - is able to utilise the tools and skills required to understand research terminology and assess published research related to One Health - is able to identify advances that healthcare depends increasingly on intensive interventions, technological developments and expensive pharmaceuticals. - is able to identify the liaison of Human Security, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and One Health - understands food safety, nutrition and food security. - is able to connect human health to the animal health and the environment - is able begin initial preparations for an illustrative development project |
