Objectives | Student - is able to critically evaluate and to use techniques of data acquisition, design of studies and data analysis. - is able to research and to understand epidemiological papers and to examine and evaluate their relevance - knows about common data analysis workflows and is able to interpret and visualize the achieved results - knows the basic statistical evaluation procedures used in health research - acquires the ability to critically analyse existing epidemiological studies with regard to the quality of their statistical processing - knows epidemiological measures of risk and can calculate them from data |
Content | - Introduction to concepts and methods of epidemiology - deepening statistical data analysis - deepening epidemiological study types - critical analysis and evaluation of an epidemiological article - meaningfulness of test procedures - possible disturbance variables in studies and their prevention or control - data visualisation |
