| Objectives | The student is able to -plan, implement and assess nursing care for patients with internal medicine, cancer, endocrine and neurological diseases in different nursing environments -use clinical examination methods and different instruments in the assessment of a patient’s condition and nursing needs and implementation of nursing care -explain the pharmacodynamics of internal medicine, endocrine and neurological diseases and implement safe medication administration -explain the effectiveness of biological medication in the treatment of various diseases -plan, implement and assess the resource-oriented guidance and mentoring and psychosocial support provided to the patient and his or her family at different stages of the disease -apply and analyse evidence-based practice in nursing care and maintenance of health and functional capacity -work in multi-professional co-operation in the clinical pathway of an internal medicine, cancer, endocrine and neurological patient and develop evidence-based practice in nursing |
| Content | Inflammatory heart diseases, cardiac pacemaker therapy, dialyses, adrenal gland and pituitary gland diseases and endocrine examinations, treatment of severe obesity, safe medication and stoma care of inflammatory bowel diseases, different rheumatic diseases, biopharmaceutical medication, neurodegenerative diseases (ALS, MS), demanding diabetes treatment and technology, clinical examination, development of evidence-based practice in nursing, nutritional care, resource-oriented guidance, multidisciplinary teamwork. |
