ObjectivesThe course is industry focused and covers both theory and application of industrial management principles, practices and tools. Leadership, team building and influencing skills, integral to a successful complex project delivery are also explored. Students will know project meeting practices, and related documentation of meetings. The students know how to present the goals of the project, interim reports and final results by using a variety of presentation techniques and tools. The students develop their reporting skills further.
ContentThe content of the course and project depends on a great deal on the topic done. The project is recommended to be done for a company according to its needs and requirements. These projects can be done anytime during the second, third and fourth year of studies. So Ad hoc -projects of companies are also welcome.

If there are no projects linked to a company available, projects can also be linked with courses or done for Savonia University of Applied Sciences.

The important part of the course for students is communicating independently with the stakeholders in projects, including project reporting, presentation techniques, project-specific vocabulary, project reporting and presentation skills in English.
RequirementsA student participates in the project given by a teacher, or she/he has a project of her/his own, and the subject of the project has been approved by a teacher.

The assessment by a teacher, self-assessment, peer review.
