Objectives | The student is able to communicate professionally in oral and written work-related situations. The student is able to write and talk about the study field in question (information technology and electrical engineering). The student is able to produce formal and informal, polite and effective business emails and letters and is able to give well-structured and clear presentations in English for different kind of audiences and situations on technical topics. The student is also able to analyze how to develop his or her presentation skills further. The student is aware of negotiation styles and meeting procedures and is able to write memos and minutes of the meetings. The student knows the stages of the job application process and is able to create a professional CV and a job application letter. The student masters telephoning skills, including voice mails. The student develops his or her skills in English grammar on topics such as passive structures. |
