## Course Overview
The courses are part of the Savonia UAS Open University curricula. If you are a degree student, please consult your tutor teacher for advice.

After completing these courses, you will be able to speak and write Finnish in professional contexts, search for and pass on information, use complex structures, produce fluent language, and express opinions. You will also develop clear pronunciation and the capability to study independently.

Courses are completed online. Oral courses include obligatory Zoom meetings during the daytime. It is possible to combine working, family life, and studying independently. In case agreed with the employment office, you can also study while being unemployed. Finnish studies are usually considered part-time studies.

If you are not a degree student but are working, unemployed, on parental leave, or a current student of Open UAS, you can apply through the Koulutuskalenteri at [Suomen kielen kurssit – Savonia-AMK](https://www.savonia.fi). All Finnish courses are free of charge for everyone, including CampusOnline students (excluding a few specific courses such as the oral Finnish language course B2 level).

## Preparatory Education for Immigrants
The aim of this preparatory education is to acquire the ability to apply to higher education in Finland and succeed in studies. The training develops skills needed for university studies and entrance examinations, and aims to improve Finnish language skills from level B1 to B2.

*   **Format:** Daily online lectures (daytime) and independent studying
*   **Price:** Free of charge
*   **Curriculum:** Includes Finnish language, English language, and mathematics
*   **Requirements:** Minimum of level B1 in Finnish and higher education eligibility
