# Instructions for Open UAS students - Savonia AMK

> As a student of the Open University of Applied Sciences, you have access to the same Savonia services as degree students. When you start your studies, you will get e.g. a Savonia username and password, e-mail address, and printing right.

## Savonia Credentials
With your Savonia credentials, you can log in to Savonia’s electronic services on campuses (on your own laptop or on campus computers) and remotely on your home or work computer and mobile phone.

*   The credentials include username, student email, and campus password.
*   See instructions for setting up your credentials and multi-step authentication (MFA).
*   Savonia credentials work for a maximum period of the granted study right and stop working when you have completed or discontinued your studies.

### Moodle

*   Used for sharing materials, returning assignments, online exams, and sharing links/dates for Zoom lectures.
*   Login:
    *   **Savonia students:** Use "Savonia-kampustunnus/Savonia Campus ID".
    *   **Students from other Finnish higher education institutions:** Use "HAKA-luottamusverkosto/HAKA trust network".

*   Logging in is possible with personal Google IDs, Microsoft IDs, Savonia campus IDs, or HAKA trust network IDs.

## Student Services and Systems
*   **Peppi ([peppi.savonia.fi](https://peppi.savonia.fi)):** View study rights, save and print transcripts or study certificates.
*   **Reppu ([amksavonia.sharepoint.com/sites/reppu-en](https://amksavonia.sharepoint.com/sites/reppu-en)):** Student Intranet for information regarding studying and student guidance.
*   **IT Support:** Contact the [Savonia Service Desk](https://servicedesk.savonia.fi) for login problems or credential activation.

## Library and Printing
*   **Library:** Both campus libraries and electronic publications are available. Fill out the library’s customer information form to get a card. More information is available on the [library’s website](https://kirjasto.savonia.fi).
*   **Printing:** A printing/copying quota of 15 euros is added to students every semester (January 1 and August 1).
    *   Print by selecting "Security printing Canon" or "Security printing Xerox" as the print queue.
    *   Log in to any multifunction device on campus to release your printout.

## Financial and Employment Information
*   **Student Benefits:** Open UAS students are not entitled to study grants, student cards, or transport discounts. Some campus restaurants offer a small lunch discount; request a meal card to prove your student status.
*   **Unemployment:** Consult your TE Services officer regarding financial assistance for self-motivated study or unemployment allowance.
*   **Study Leave:** Employed students may receive adult education support from the Employment Fund if conditions are met.
