# Multipro study program - Savonia AMK

> Multipro is a Savonia UAS study programme offering courses in English in the fields of agriculture, natural resources and social services.

## Program Overview

## For Whom?
Studies are multidisciplinary focusing on the One Welfare concept, planned for the Bachelor level exchange students in:
*   Agriculture
*   Food Technology
*   Veterinary
*   Environment
*   Social Services
*   Nursing
*   Agriculture

The programme is open to all students who are eager to collaborate in an international setting, contribute their own subject expertise, and deepen their understanding of the One Welfare approach. While the natural focus is on students from agriculture, environmental sciences, veterinary, food technology, social services and nursing, we warmly welcome participants from all fields.

## About MultiPro
MultiPro One Welfare highlights the interconnected well-being of humans, animals, and the environment – its three core pillars. MultiPro offers a unique opportunity to grow your international professional network. Savonia is known for its balanced blend of theory and practical learning. During the programme, you’ll take part in on-site visits, hands-on tasks that run alongside theoretical studies, and inspiring excursions. 

By the end of the 90 days, you will have broadened your perspective on One Welfare, strengthened both individual and teamwork skills, learned to navigate complex discussions on welfare-related issues, and gained confidence in working in international environments.

Teaching methods include lectures, teamwork and projects. MultiPro can also include a traineeship / placement period. The students present the results of their learning outcomes in the MultiPro final seminar. Savonia uses Moodle as an eLearning platform in teaching and communication.

## Student Life and Support
At Savonia’s Iisalmi Campus, student life goes beyond the classroom. Two active student organisations, **SAITO** (School of Natural Resources) and **SAIMO** (School of Health and Social Services), help students feel welcome through events, trips, and theme days.

*   **Accommodation:** Savonia does not have a student dormitory. You can rent a flat or a room from private companies or flat owners. Please contact Agnieszka Laherto for assistance.
*   **Practical Assistance:** Tutoring, guidance, and counselling are provided to help in the transition into study life.

## Iisalmi Campus and Town
Located in the heart of North Savo, the Iisalmi campus features modern facilities and comfortable study spaces with strong connections to local industries. 

Iisalmi is a town of about 20,000 people in the heart of Finnish Lakeland. It is known for its nature, culture, and unique experiences, such as the smallest restaurant in the world, Northern Lights viewing, and traditional Finnish sauna culture.
