# Sustainable Future Higher Education Module (Master level) - Savonia-AMK

The module is not offered in the academic year 2025-2026.

Sustainable Future online studies build up your master level knowledge regarding future-orientated sustainable development. Studies include three courses concerning climate change and green transition in technology.

Studying the online courses gives you knowledge in accordance with the European Green Deal. The European Commission has adopted a set of proposals to make the EU’s climate, energy, transport and taxation policies fit for reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels.

## European Green Deal Objectives

* economic growth decoupled from resource use
* no person and no place left behind

## Target Audience and Prerequisites
* **Target Audience:** Persons who need master-level knowledge in the interdisciplinary Sustainable Development for their work, or personal career development.
* **Prerequisites:** Bachelor’s program degree studies or equivalent.

## Curriculum
Sustainable Future Higher Education Module consists of three courses:
* Digital Green Technology Industry 5 ECTS
* Low-Carbon Technology Industry 5 ECTS
* Alternative Energy Sources and Greenhouse Gas Free Energy Production 5 ECTS

To achieve the Sustainable Future Open Badge, enroll in and complete all 3 courses (a total of 15 ECTS credits).

## Registration and Fees
* **Registration:** Registration period begins on 1st of August in the Open UAS Study Calendar. You can register to the study module or individual courses.
* **Price:** 
    * The price of the higher education module is 150 euros (10 euros/ECTS). 
    * The price of individual courses is 15 euros/ECTS (75 euros per course). 
    * The course-specific fee is paid upon registration.
    * Open studies are free of charge for Savonia graduates for one year after graduation.

## Study Format
The selection of online courses is interdisciplinary, and therefore you can select courses that meet best your personal needs. Assignments in the online courses are prepared independently based on the study material. There are several alternative deadline dates to submit the assignments within the courses’ implementation period.
