At Savonia, your studies are closely connected to working life from day one.
Your Path to a Successful Career
At Savonia, studies are closely connected to working life. Through practical projects, internships, and collaboration with companies and organizations, you gain hands-on experience, build professional networks, and develop the skills needed for your future career in Finland and internationally.
Working Part-Time During Your Studies
Can you work while studying in Finland? Yes. Many international students work part-time to support their finances, gain valuable experience, and develop Finnish language skills. Finding a job may take time, especially at the beginning, but even entry-level work can help you build networks and better understand Finnish working life.
Finnish Working Life in Practice
Finnish working life is known for its low hierarchy, equality, and trust. Employees are expected to take responsibility for their work, communicate openly, and be punctual. Managers are approachable, and teamwork is valued. Understanding these workplace expectations can help you succeed in internships, summer jobs, and future career opportunities in Finland.
Building Your Future in Finland
Many international students hope to stay in Finland after graduation. During your studies, you can develop professional skills, expand your network, improve your Finnish language abilities, and gain practical experience through projects, internships, and employment. Every experience helps you take the next step toward your future career.
