Savonia cannot assist you in completing the residence permit application or influence the processing time of your application.
How much is the tuition fee for a Bachelor’s degree programme, and can I pay it in instalments?
The tuition fee for Bachelor’s degree programmes is currently EUR 9,700 per academic year for students required to pay tuition fees.
Students admitted through the Joint Application can benefit from the Early Bird tuition fee of EUR 7,760 for the first academic year if they accept the study place within seven days and pay the tuition fee within 14 days of being admitted. If the study place is accepted later, the tuition fee is EUR 9,700 and the payment deadline is at the end of July.
For students admitted through the Direct Application, the tuition fee for the first academic year is EUR 7,760 and must be paid within 14 days of being admitted.

Does Savonia offer scholarships for new students, and what are the scholarship criteria?
Savonia does not offer scholarships to first-year students.
From the second academic year onwards, you can receive a 20% scholarship if you completed at least 60 ECTS credits during the previous academic year.
You can also receive a 10% scholarship if you have passed the required Finnish language test. Savonia does not offer scholarships that cover the full tuition fee or scholarships based on the student’s financial need.
Am I eligible to apply to a Bachelor’s degree programme at Savonia with my qualification, and can I apply before I graduate?
You can generally apply to Savonia’s Bachelor’s degree programmes with a qualification that makes you eligible for higher education in the country where it was completed. This may be an upper secondary school leaving certificate or another upper secondary-level qualification.
The general eligibility requirements are the same for all Savonia Bachelor’s degree programmes, but some application routes may have additional requirements. Always check the admission criteria for the application route you plan to use.
You can apply before graduating, provided you complete your qualification by the deadline stated in the application instructions.
You must submit your final qualification certificate and any other required documents by the specified deadlines. Check the deadlines for your application period carefully before applying.
Do my certificate grades affect whether I can apply?
It depends on the application route. If you apply through the Direct Application – Certificate Grades selection method, the average grade on your certificate must be at least 60% of the maximum possible grade. You must also meet the other requirements of this selection method.
In other application routes, student selection may be based on an SAT score, an entrance exam or another specified selection method. In these cases, the average grade on your certificate does not affect the selection. You can find more information about eligibility here.
