How to apply?
Nomination
In order for you to apply to Savonia as an exchange student or trainee, you must be a student of our partner university. Your home university must first nominate you as an exchange student to Savonia by contacting Savonia UAS’ International Mobility Services for gaining the link to the digital nomination form by the following deadlines:
- 31 March (28 Feb for the field of Health Care) for autumn semester and academic year
- 30 Sept for spring semester (31 Oct for MultiPro programme)
After nomination you need to apply and be approved by Savonia UAS as an exchange student. We cannot guarantee accepting all nominated students, especially the ones wishing to complete a practical internship due to the limited number of internship placements.
We expect that our partner universities nominate to all our study fields only students whose English language proficiency is comparable to at least B2 on CEFR (Common European Framework of References for Languages), i.e. upper intermediate level.
Savonia UAS does not admit visiting / free mover students from non-partner universities.
How to apply to student exchange
To apply you need to submit an application through the Mobility-Online application portal and include the requested documents by the application deadline. The requested attachments are:
- transcript or records
- passport photo
- a copy of travel insurance or European Health Insurance card
- audition video & motivation letter (for music & dance studies only – read more below)

Video recording/recordings of your playing/singing/dancing is required.
Classical music: You may choose the works freely; 3 pieces in different styles. The total length of the recordings may not exceed 20 minutes.
Rhythm music: You may choose the works freely; 3 pieces in different styles including improvisation. The total length of the recordings may not exceed 20 minutes.
Dance: Max 3 min long video that contains elements from the following two dance techniques: Ballet, contemporary dance and jazz dance. In addition to this, a video of your choice, max. 2 min., which contains elements and dance styles chosen by yourself.
Upload the videos the Internet, i.e your own website, Vimeo, YouTube or similar. Make sure that the URL provided is correct, that the site is working and that the videos can be viewed in a standard web browser.
Motivation letter is also required.
You can upload the motivation letter and include a link to your audition video in the Mobility-Online application system.
How to apply for an internship
In case you are interested in completing an internship (e.g. in addition to theoretical courses) period at Savonia, you need to contact the International Coordinator of your study field first. The number of internship placements is limited.
