What Happens Next?
Once you have submitted your application, the admission process begins.
What happens after you submit your application?
After submitting your application, make sure that you have received a confirmation email. Check your email regularly throughout the application process. If you contact us, please use the same email address that you provided on your application. If we need any additional information from you, we will contact you by email. Possible invitation to an entrance examination or other information related to student selection will also be sent to you by email. You will also receive the student selection decision by email.
Check the application schedule and instructions to see whether you need to take an entrance examination or upload any additional documents to your application. Also check when the student selection results will be published.
Even though you do not yet know whether you will be offered a study place, it is a good idea to familiarise yourself in advance with the deadlines for accepting a study place and paying the tuition fee, as well as the residence permit application process. Being prepared is important, as once you are offered a study place, you may have only a short time to decide whether to accept it or not.
Accepting the study place
Admitted students receive an offer of admission by email when the result has been published. Accept the offered study place by the date and time mentioned on the offer of admission. If you do not accept the study place by the given deadline, you will lose it. Accepting a study place is a binding choice, and you cannot cancel or change your choice later.
Paying the tuition fee
Savonia UAS collects tuition fee from non-EU/EEA students. Currently the tuition fee is 9700 euros per academic year. The tuition fee policy for the first academic year depends on whether the student is accepted through Direct, Joint, Separate or Transfer application.
The tuition fee for the first academic year must be paid in full and cannot be paid in instalments. Savonia does not offer scholarships for the first academic year.
For future academic years, the tuition fee is changed in two instalments, separately for the autumn and spring semesters. Scholarships may be available after the first academic year if the specified criteria are met. Savonia does not offer full scholarships or scholarships based on financial needs.
Apply for the residence permit
If you need a residence permit, we advise you to start your residence permit application process immediately after you have accepted the offered study place and paid the tuition fee. The entire process may take several months.
Make sure you have all the necessary documents needed in the application. After you have made your tuition fee payment, please send a receipt of the payment to Savonia UAS, Admission services. As soon as we have received your payment, we will send you confirmation of your study place. The confirmation of the study place works also as a receipt of your tuition fee payment, and you can use it as an attachment to your residence permit application.
