Direct Application, selection method: Certificate Grades

This application is open from 1 October 2026 to 31 July 2027. Applicants are selected based on their certificate grades.

Direct Application, selection method: SAT

This application is open from 1 October 2026 to 31 July 2027. Applicants are selected based on their SAT scores.

Joint Application spring 2027, selection method: International UAS Exam

This application is open from 7 to 21 January 2027. You apply through the joint application for Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences.

Direct Application: Entrance Exam

This application is open from 7 January to 23 March 2027. Applicants are selected based on Savonia’s entrance exam, which must be taken in person in Kuopio or Varkaus.

Separate Application based on previous studies

If you have an unfinished degree from a Finnish higher education institution or have previous studies from a Finnish Open UAS or Open University, you may be able to apply to Savonia based on your previous studies. Check the application requirements and find out whether this application route is right for you.

Transfer Application

If you are registered as a degree student at a Finnish University or University of Applied Sciences, you might be able to apply transfer to Savonia UAS. Also, if you are registered as a degree student in Savonia UAS, you might be able to apply transfer to another degree programme.
