| Description | The SPECTRAL project develops and tests pump control services and their functionality at the Savonia WaterLab in Kuopio, Finland.?
The preferred service solution is subsequently demonstrated at a chosen wastewater pump station operated by an international water utility customer.? ?Based on the Proof-of-Concept trial run, experimentally verified results are obtained on the enhancing effect of immersive remote training and maintenance on the operation of wastewater pumping stations, condition monitoring, and personnel training. Savonia provides a specialized water laboratory, named WaterLAB, that is equipped with WaterLOOP. It is a Distribution System Simulator (DSS) that runs continuously 24/7 throughout the year. ? WaterLOOP is a water pilot facility that consists of nearly 1 km of pipework in a looped-branched network. It has a water intake, first and second-stage pumping stations, and a dual wastewater system with a separator tank located beneath the WaterLAB. Viimatech is a Finnish company specializing in digital solutions for optimizing pumping operations in water utilities and industries. Viimatech offers IoT-enabled real-time data collection devices and cloud-based data processing to optimize maintenance and energy costs of pumping systems. ThingLink provides an intuitive platform for creating interactive 360 learning and maintenance content using XR technologies. In the SPECTRAL project, ThingLink developed a customizable and scalable solution for water utilities, enabling immersive training, remote inspections, and real-time sensor integration. ? The no-code platform supports multilingual content and is optimized for rapid deployment. A pilot at Savonia WaterLab demonstrates step-by-step guidance for operators, linked with live IoT data in a real pump station environment. |

SPECTRAL-hankkeen toteuttajakumppaneihin kuuluvat: ThingLink: Tarjoaa intuitiivisen alustan interaktiivisen 360-oppimisen ja huollon sisällön luomiseen XR-teknologioiden avulla. ThingLink kehittää räätälöitävissä olevan ja skaalautuvan ratkaisun vesihuoltolaitoksille, mahdollistaa immersiivisen koulutuksen, etätarkastukset ja reaaliaikaisen sensorien integroinnin. Viimatech: Erikoistunut digitaalisiin ratkaisuihin pumppaustoimintojen optimointiin vesihuoltolaitoksissa ja teollisuudessa. Viimatech tarjoaa IoT-pohjaisia reaaliaikaisia datankeruulaitteita ja pilvipohjaista datankäsittelyä pumppausjärjestelmien huolto- ja energiakustannusten optimointiin. Savonia WaterLab: Erikoistunut vesilaboratorio, joka on varustettu WaterLOOP-järjestelmällä. Hankkeen kohdenryhmänä ovat vesilaitokset sekä raskas teollisuus Suomessa ja ulkomailla. |
