| Description | The aim of the project is to investigate the potential for solar power generation on farmland in Northern Savo in such a way that the impact on agricultural activities and the balance of the electricity transmission grid is kept to a minimum. The aim is to investigate and assess the economic impacts of combined production on farmers and to identify solutions that promote the competitiveness of both agriculture and solar power generation.
The project’s measures will support the sustainable growth of local agricultural operators, renewable energy project developers and SMEs involved in the renewable energy sector, whilst creating the conditions for the emergence of new low-carbon energy production and more diversified agricultural activities in the region. The aim of the project is to develop best practices and operating models that promote Finland’s carbon neutrality targets for 2035, the objectives of the North Savo Regional Programme and its Implementation Plan for 2025–2026, the Just Transition Plan and the North Savo Climate Programme, as well as to generate further information on the potential for combining agriculture with solar energy production. |
| Partners | Hanke on ryhmähanke, jota toteutetaan yhdessä Lappeenrannan-Lahden teknillisen yliopiston sekä Ylä-Savon ammattiopiston kanssa.
Hankkeen varsinaisena kohderyhmänä ovat maatalousyrittäjät sekä maatalouteen liittyvät muut pk-yritykset, energiayhtiöt ja uusiutuvan energian hankkeita valmistelevat yritykset sekä investorit. Kohderyhmänä ovat myös aurinkoenergiajärjestelmiä toimittavat yritykset, aurinkoenergiajärjestelmiä sähköverkkoon kytkevät yritykset. Kunnat, ympäristöviranomaiset ja TKI-toimijat hyötyvät hankkeen tuottamasta lisätiedosta yhteiskäytön mahdollisuuksia aurinkoenergiahankkeita luvitusta ja kannattavuutta arvioidessaan. |
