Open UAS

It is possible for you to study parts of the university degree at the Savonia Open UAS. Studies can be carried out flexibly and regardless of your age or educational background. Most of the course offerings at the Open UAS are online studies, so you can flexibly study regardless of time and place. Course information and registration are in the Study Calendar.

Path studies at Savonia Open UAS are an alternative route to becoming a degree student. If you already live in Finland, near Kuopio, you can apply for a path study place for the degree program starting in the fall. Studying is full-time on campus with degree students. Distant learning alone is not possible. As a path student, you complete the 1st year studies of the degree program for 60 credits, after which you can continue as a degree student in the same group. The annual path study offer is published in the Study Calendar before the summer.

If you already have a university degree, you can study Master level courses included in Savonia’s master’s degree programs at the Open UAS, and they can be studied entirely online as non-stop studies.

Foreign students need a visa or residence permit, depending on their nationality to enter Finland. Studying at the Open UAS does not generally give entitlement to a visa or residence permit. More information is available at the Finnish Immigration Service.
