MultiPro students can select studies from three different degree programmes. The curriculum contains core and specialised studies. The core studies are multidisciplinary and offered for all the MultiPro students regardless the field of study. You can select professional studies according to your interest and study field.

Teaching methods include lectures, teamwork and projects. MultiPro can also include a traineeship / placement period. The students present the results of their learning outcomes in the MultiPro final seminar. Savonia uses Moodle as an eLearning platform in teaching and communication. Several other digital tools are used, too.

Practical assistance including tutoring and guidance and counselling help in the transition into study life. Every student gets a Finnish friend to be able to better adapt to the new culture.

The deadline for applications for MultiPro 2022 is September 30, 2021. Apply through the Mobility Online application system.

Studying

At Savonia Iisalmi, you can study in three degree programmes: Social Services, Nursing, and Agriculture and Rural Industries. The curriculum is divided into core studies which are common for each degree programmes and specialised studies. We offer a great variety of different study methods, such as:

  • eLearning (eLearning platform Moodle)
  • Project studies
  • Excursions

Tutoring

At Savonia Iisalmi, tutoring and student guidance help students in various practical matters to ease the study process, and to utilise the available teaching resources in the best possible way. The supervisor of the MultiPro group, tutors and lecturers guide all the exchange students in their studies. Tutors have volunteered to assist exchange students after their arrival. They help exchange students in completing necessary forms, etc. The tutors may also help the exchange students in finding leisure time and social activities.

Accomodation

Savonia does not have a student dormitory. You can rent a flat or a room from private companies or flat owners..

Petterinkulma Oy

You can share the room with somebody or have a room of your own. You will also share the kitchen and bathroom with other students. There are usually two to four rooms in one unit. You will need your own sheets, pillowcases and towels. Coin-operated laundry facilities are also available. Students are responsible for the cleaning of their rooms. The rent is 200-300 € per month and you should be prepared to pay two months’ rent beforehand. The houses are located 1-3 kilometers from the campus. Iisalmi campus

There are about 1 000 students and nearly 65 staff members on the Savonia Iisalmi campus. Iisalmi is a cozy town of 20 000 inhabitants surrounded by lakes some 100 kilometres north from Kuopio.
