Student selection based on SAT score

Students are selected on the basis of SAT scores. The SAT is a standardized, computer-based test widely used for college admissions in the United States and around the world. The test is owned and administered by the College Board.

The SAT consists of the following sections:

  • Evidence-Based Reading and Writing: minimum score 550
    • Reading Test
    • Writing and Language Test
  • Mathematics: minimum score 550

Only SAT tests completed after March 2016 are accepted. For student selection, only scores from sections completed during the same test session will be considered.

You must order an official SAT score report directly from the College Board. The score must be available to Savonia UAS by 31 July 2027 at the latest. Savonia UAS receives SAT scores electronically. Score reports submitted by applicants themselves cannot be accepted.

The College Board SAT code for Savonia UAS is 7448.

For more information about the SAT, including test centers and registration, visit the College Board website.

Application review and student selection results

Your application will be considered once Savonia UAS has received your SAT scores directly from the College Board. Each applicant is evaluated individually on the basis of documents she/he has submitted on the application form and the SAT score.

You can be admitted to Savonia UAS if:

  • you are eligible to apply for higher education;
  • you meet the minimum score requirement for each SAT section; and
  • there is a study place available in the degree programme.

The admission process is based on rolling admission, and the number of study places to each degree programme is limited. Once all available study places have been filled, no further applicants can be admitted.

Student selection results are published on a continuous basis. If you are admitted, you will receive an offer of admission by email.

Accepting the study place and paying the tuition fee

Once you have received an offer of admission, you must accept the study place within 7 days.

If you are not required to pay tuition fees, you will receive a confirmation letter for your study place once you have accepted the offer.

If you are required to pay tuition fees, you will receive instructions on how to make the tuition fee payment. The tuition fee must be paid in full within 14 days of receiving the offer of admission. You will receive a confirmation letter for your study place once Savonia UAS has received your tuition fee payment. For more information about tuition fees, please visit Savonia’s website.

If you need a residence permit, we recommend that you start the residence permit application process as soon as you have accepted the study place and paid the tuition fee. For more information on applying the residence permit, please visit Savonia’s website.

Registering as a student and starting your studies

Students must register as present or absent for the academic year by 31 August 2027 either in person on campus or by authenticating online through Candour service. Those who have confirmed their study places will receive registration instructions by email by the end of July 2027.
