In the Joint Application, you can apply up to six study programmes with one application form. If you submit more than one application, only the latest application will remain valid. 

Applicants from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland are required to pay an application fee in order to apply to higher education studies. Please, read more information about the application fee on Studyinfo website.

When you fill in the application form, read all instructions and questions carefully. 

The application form cannot be saved as a draft. You must complete the form and submit your application in one session. 

You can check whether any information is missing by clicking “Check x answers” at the top of the page. Once you have added any missing information, click “Preview” to review your application. 

Check all the information carefully, especially your email address, before submitting your application. 

When everything is correct, click “Submit application” to submit your application. 

You can return to your application form later by using the link in the confirmation email and upload all required attachments by 28 January 2027 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.

You must upload all required attachments to the application form by 28 January 2027 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time. 

• Copies of final certificates, which give  eligibility to apply to Higher Education studies in the awarding country 

• Official translations of your certificates if they are not in English, Swedish or Finnish. 

• A proof of English language proficiency 

• A copy of a passport (biometric or non-biometric) or a biometric EU/EEA identity card. 

If you graduate after the application period ends, upload a copy of your transcript of records or another official document confirming that you will complete your qualification by 13 July 2027. 

Scan all pages of each required document or take clear, high-quality photos. Make sure all texts are clearly legible. Combine all pages of the same document into one file. For example, if your educational certificate has several pages, combine them into a single file. Make sure all pages are upright and oriented in the same direction. 

Recommended file formats are PDF, JPG, PNG and DOCX. 

Name your attachment file(s) in the following way: Lastname_First name_description/name of document. For example, Smith_Mary_highschooldiploma. 

You may be asked to upload the same document in more than one section of the application form. If so, upload the same attachment to each section where it is requested. You may also be asked to upload additional documents depending on the study options you have selected on your application form.

Students are selected on the basis of the International UAS Exam. The International UAS Exam is a joint digital entrance exam of the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS), used for selecting students to study programmes leading to a bachelor’s degree and conducted in English. The entrance exam is completed by the applicant’s own computer remotely online. 

The International UAS exam is organized on 23 March 2027.

All applicants of the University of Applied Sciences’ Bachelor’s programmes, including native speakers of English, must demonstrate their English language proficiency. You can find details on the accepted methods for proving language proficiency from the uasinfo.fi website.

You must upload the proof of your English language proficiency to the application form by 28 January 2027 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.

Applications will be processed after the application period has ended. 

You can be admitted to Savonia UAS if: 

• You are eligible to apply for higher education; 

• You have successfully completed the International UAS exam 

• You have a sufficient proof of your English language skills   

• There is a study place available in the degree programme. 

The number of study places in each degree programme is limited. Once all available study places have been filled, no further applicants can be admitted. 

Student selection results are published by 14 April 2027. If you are admitted, you will receive an offer of admission by email.

Once you have received an offer of admission, you must accept the study place by 13 July 2027 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time.  

If you are required to pay the tuition fee and you want to utilize the Early Bird tuition fee, you must accept the study place within 7 days of receiving the offer of admission. You will receive instructions on how to utilize the Early Bird tuition fee and make the payment. You will receive a confirmation letter for your study place once Savonia UAS has received your tuition fee payment. For more information about tuition fees, please visit Savonia’s website.

If you are not required to pay tuition fees, you will receive a confirmation letter for your study place once you have accepted the offer.   

If you need a residence permit, we recommend that you start the residence permit application process as soon as you have accepted the study place and paid the tuition fee. For more information on applying the residence permit, please visit Savonia’s website.

Students must register as present or absent for the academic year by 31 August 2027 either in person on campus or by authenticating online through Candour service. Those who have confirmed their study places, will receive registration instructions by email by the end of July 2027. 

Studies will begin in the end of August 2027.
