Objectives | The student is able to -describe the required bodily structures and functions -apply his or her knowledge to diagnostic examinations -identify the relationship between bodily functions and diagnostic examinations -explain the principles of radiation protection in nursing and diagnostic examinations |
Content | Anatomy and physiology: -endocrine system, acid-base balance, cellular biology, senses, nervous system, musculoskeletal system Diagnostic examinations: -ECG, respiratory function tests, anthropometric measuring and acid-base balance tests -the relationship between patient examination results and pathophysiology -Medical imaging: plain radiography, CT (computed tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), ultra sound, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology |
Requirements | Anatomy and physiology: -participation in lessons and exercises -an assignment and exam Diagnostic examinations: -assignments in Moodle -participation in training sessions and seminars -an exam RPL by taking a competence test or on the basis of prior performance |
