You can use E-library if your municipality of residence has joined the service. When registering as an E-library customer, the system uses your address to determine your right to use the service. E-library is a shared online library of Finnish municipalities. The service was created by the National Library of Finland together with public libraries.
You can use E-library by installing the app on your smart-phone or tablet. E-library contains audiobooks as well as e-books and digital magazines, or electronic books and magazines available online. You can read and listen to them in Finnish, Swedish or English. Some resources are available also in other languages.
The lending period for e-books and audiobooks is two weeks. After that, books are automatically returned, which means that you can no longer read or listen to them. You can also return books yourself before the loan period ends. Digital magazines can be read for two hours at a time.
