| Description | Launching of export of wood houses and related construction materials is an expensive, time consuming and a difficult task for a single company. The legislative rules of import and the laws of construction in the country of destination need to be cleared. In most cases, also the products themselves need to be tailored to meet the needs and preferences of the target market. The target country in this project is China.
Focus On Wood-project promotes the export efforts of local wood using companies. Project helps to create connections between local Finnish companies and Chinese companies by the aid of native Chinese speaking consultants. The help and connections of Team Finland, City of Kuopio and Savonia University of Applied sciences to Shanghai will also be applied. The project will launch opinion surveys to Chinese people about the quality of wooden house building and design. These surveys will be the basis of design and launch of new or in a new way designed product concepts targeted to Chinese markets. To help the marketing of these new product concepts some Virtual Reality marketing material will also be produced. These product results can be later used buy companies to improve their export efforts. The beneficiaries of this project are manufactures of wood houses and related construction materials, designers, architects and all companies in house construction business willing to expand. |
