| Description | A need for medical computing has been recognized in Eastern Finland, while the need for professionals in Medical computing is growing constantly. Worldwide, medical computing is one of the fastest growing educational fields, and it has been estimated that the size of healthcare markets will overpass 280 billions of dollars in 2021. Experts in Medical Computing-project responds to this need through a specialized updating education package, which is targeted for participants with at least first high-education degree. In the area of Eastern Finland, top know-how is readily available, and we will make use of this in the project.
The primary goal is to close the skill-gap by educating new health-care and medical computing professionals for work life needs. The objectives are to promote collaboration between local high-education institutions, hospitals, hospital districts, industry and third sector. EMC project will produce new content for education, train new experts in the field of medical computing, identify good practices and increase regional collaboration. |
