Cross-institutional studies

We have compiled guidelines related to cross-study. You will also find answers to frequently asked questions and solutions to common problems.

What is Cross-Institutional Study?

Cross-institutional studies refer to completing studies at a higher education institution other than your home institution. Cross-institutional studies are possible between institutions that have agreed to cooperate in teaching. You need to have a valid right to study at your home institution in order to participate in cross-institutional studies.

How to Activate your Savonia Credentials?

Go to the Account-service. You must first authenticate using strong identification. After that, you will see your username and can set your password. NOTE! All Savonia services require login with Savonia credentials only. HAKA login must not be used.

Enrollment Cancellation

You can cancel your enrollment for a cross-institutional course implementation in your home institution’s Peppi.

Logging into the Online Environment

The course is completed either in Moodle or Edunia. Information about the learning environment used in the implementation can be found in the course description. You must log in to the learning environment using your Savonia credentials.

Study Rights and Duration

Based on your enrollment, you will be granted a right to study at Savonia. The duration of this study right depends on the length of the course implementation. You can view the duration of your study right in Savonia’s Peppi by logging in with your Savonia credentials.

Grade transfer to the study register

The assessment of the course implementation is automatically transferred to the study register once the teacher has entered it into Peppi. However, there may be a slight delay in the transfer. According to the degree regulations, teachers have one month after the end of the implementation to record the assessments in Peppi.
