Objectives | The student is able to - Interact professionally and as an expertise in different communication contexts both face-to-face and online as well as use meeting and negotiation skills - Assess oral and written communication skills - Identify and analyse verbal and nonverbal communication in client situations - Draft written documents as required in the social sector - Act according to the principles of data protection and security in order to guarantee the privacy of clients in social services - Apply research to develop social work |
Content | - Professional communication and interaction, also as a specialist in the field - Meeting, negotiation and argumentation skills both face-to-face and online - Data protection and data security - Basic principles and proper practices of documentation in social services such as client-orientation, participation and language in documentation - Documentation at the interface between social services and health care - Legislation and official instructions of documentation in social services in Finland, Kanta Services and documentation in a specified form - Information management terminology in social services - Information systems and technology and development of information management in the field of social work - Information and communication technology as a tool in documentation, research and developing work |
