• takes the initial mold and uses the impression making materials

• etches and cements a palatal or lingual arch
• bonds a retention arch
• provides counselling for an orthodontic patient and the family at different stages of the process
• identifies factors negatively affecting the masticatory system
• identifies the symptoms of occlusal dysfunction
• assesses the need for follow-up care
• masters physiotherapeutic dysfunction treatment methods
ContentEssential concepts and process of orthodontics, monitoring the care process, devices, instruments and materials, clinical examination in orthodontics, identification of deviations, information documentation, consultation
Requirements fixed , detachable and combination devices. Initial molds and impression making materials,
palatal or lingual arch etching and cementing. Retention arch bonding. Planning preventive care for an orthodontic patient, counselling at different stages of the process. Clinical photography. Typical symptoms of craniomandibular disorders. Occlusal relaxation. Physiotherapeutic treatment methods. Posture and musculoskeletal stress.
