Direct application is targeted to those
- who want to secure the study place at early stage and, e.g., allow plenty of time to organize the residence permit issues and housing
- who are ready to confirm the study place within 7 days and pay the tuition fee within 14 days of being accepted as student
Timetable and application process
Direct Application to Bachelor of Hospitality Management, spring 2024
- Direct Application period opens on 1 March 2024.
Link to the application form - You can apply only to Bachelor of Hospitality Management, which is targeted for immigrants who already live in Finland.
- Required attachments must be uploaded to the application form before the application form can be sent:
- copies of final certificates
- copies of official translations of your certificates, if they are not in English, Finnish or Swedish
- copy of official and valid passport / ID-card
- Student selection is based on personal interview, in which the applicant’s motivation and the English language skills are evaluated.
- Interviews will be organized only in Kuopio, Finland. It is not possible to organize the interview in any other location or online.
- Applications will be processed on a weekly basis in the order of arrival. An applicant is eligible to the next step of the process, the personal interview, if she/he
- has the eligibility to apply in the Direct application
- has uploaded a copy of an official and valid passport / ID-card on the application form
- The results of the student selection will be published continuously, whenever the interviews have been held and the results are ready. The application period closes when the group is full, but on 30 April 2024 at the latest.
- Admitted students must confirm their study place within 7 days of being accepted as student.
- If the student is obligated to pay the tuition fee, the deadline for paying it is within 14 days of being accepted as student.
- Studies will begin in the end of August 2024.

- Direct Application period 2023 has closed on 14 December 2023.

- applicants who will not be interviewed will be notified
