| Objectives | Student - knows the most common NCDs and their effect on global public health - understands the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), their risk factors, determinants and prevention strategies - develops specific skills in designing and evaluating prevention strategies both for communicable and NCDs. - knows versatile communicable diseases and their effect to global public health - understands the communicable diseases as public health threats - has ability to define and describe public health disasters and emergencies that - may trigger implementation of an emergency response plan (epidemiology?) - identifies surveillance data needs for risk assessments of public health threats caused by communicable diseases - understands of the burden of communicable diseases, their risk factors, determinants and prevention strategies |
